Your friends that are fans of Japanese culture will love the Kokeshi dolls and other Japanese-themed souvenirs (locally called “omiyage”)! Choose from traditional items like tabi socks, classic Noh masks (plastic), teacups or even a Daruma (Dharma) Doll for some good luck! There are even some interesting and very kawaii chopsticks designs that you can pick up as a personalized token for your friends back home.

If you’re a fan of personalization as well, you can be sure to find a lot of little trinkets and materials that will help you turn generic items into personalized style accessories. Pick up a few (or a lot, because they’re so cheap) and turn them into decorations around your room to give it a unique style.

And if you think everything there is for decoration and giveaways, you’d be mistaken. Daiso also has a large selection of snacks, candies and drinks that you can share with your friends and give as little any day gifts! What makes these snacks even more interesting is their unique and fun packaging that people back home will surely find interesting and appreciate!

So don’t feel too pressured to purchase expensive items. Save some money for the things you really want to invest in, but also indulge in purchasing something cute and indulgent for much, much less.

Let us know what your favorite purchases at Daiso were! We’d love to hear about your haul!  OoO
