There is really nothing that brings out the little girl in all of us than by looking at pretty dolls! Regardless of your style, taste, or interests..
… there is definitely a Pullip Doll that will capture your heart!
For those that are new to seeing Pullip, she is an Asian fashion doll that was first produced in South Korea in 2003. Her name, Pullip, means “blade of grass” in Korean.
What makes Pullip unique is her eye mechanisms that allow her to move her eyes back and forth, wink and blink.
There have been four versions of Pullip since her release in 2003, and have since then have come to know the company of other dolls in her line such as her (ex)boyfriend Namu, her current boyfriend Taeyang (not to be confused with the Kpop star of the same name), Taeyang’s younger sister Dal, Day’s best friend Byul and the newest addition to the Pullip line, Pullip’s younger brother, Isul.
Together, Pullip and her friends make room for a lot of customization—a doll lover’s dream! Since then, there have been many styles for Pullip including styles that have dressed her as a member of various Japanese girl idol groups, in kawaii brands like Angelic Pretty, and various doll fashion designers from all over the world!
Pullip and her friends have also been dressing up in other styles, apart from kawaii. They have been dressed in the eccentric style of Visual Kei, as well as different Lolita styles!
Otaku JapanLovers will also be pleased with Pullip’s hobbies—as she and her friends also cosplay a number of different characters including the ever-popular characters from Kuroshitsuji, and their own interpretation of the beloved, quirky, classic Alice in Wonderland! They’ve also dressed up as different mascots!
So here is an overload of Pullip photos, as a celebration of the 10 Years of Pullip! Enjoy!
